Quite Liberating!

Since i had my drivers licence, i havent really driven on my own, Chad is always with me, but last night, there's nothing good on TV so i thought i should go to the Video store to check out what they have, anyway i know Chad hates going out after a long day at work so i said to him will you let me drive to the video store on my own?? he didnt answer me but just stared at me instead ( i know he's thinking so hard to whether he's going with me or not) so when he didnt respond, i grab the keys and my purse and asked him if he wants something from the video store.. he said yes pineapple crunch please.. so there's my YES IRENE you can go driving on your own:) so away i went, i thought it will be scary for me but i quite like it!! i didnt really get scared or got nervous.. i was fine and quite liberating really!! love it, im just glad i got my licence before im heavily pregnant:) otherwise i will be stuck at home!!

Today was an exciting and nerve racking at the same time.. Why?? i have my legitimate reasons:) I went for my driving test today, i was kind of calm not really nervous (or maybe i was just in denial) i had over an hour lesson with a professional driving instructor before hand to refresh my driving skills, then away i go.. i am confident with my driving skills but as soon as the examiner got in the car i started feeling really nervous and kinda shaky, i did all of the manuevers i was asked to do perfectly, no crosses or anything like that, but i got like 3 marks on my road positioning ( this was an unmarked road ok??) and 1 mark from hesitating on the roundabouts but the examiner said its no biggy, i will get better and better at it once i've been driving for a period of time.. i didnt do anything illegal, infact i was super duper careful. I was allowed 8 marks and i didnt get them all and that's why i've passed, what a Day!!

Costume parties are not really my favourite as im pretty pathetic when it comes to dressing up hmm both of us really, and as you can see on the right i didnt do a very good job on my face.. luckily its halloween so the uglier it looks the better:) Chad cant come up with a better idea than to dress up as cricketer monster and is trying to choke me! whateva!! But hey we had fun so that's all that matters right?? anyway here's some of our friends picture, look at the their costume, i thought they did a great job on theirs...

Low key but a Nice Day

After driving around.. watch a bit of cricket match, sat down and chatted with friends, Chad and I decided to go to Southbank to see if there's some good movies we could go and see, we decided that we wanted to see "THE GAMEPLAN", we're a little late when we get in but didnt missed too much just the very start, unfortunately we also have to seat separately same reason, we came in late! but that didnt affect our day:).. we both really enjoyed the movie.. "the Rock ROCKS!!" and the girl was so cute and smart.. anyway i would recommend this to everyone.. its a family movie and im pretty sure everyone will enjoy, i even cried at the end.. but over all its 2 thumbs up for me i love happy ending movies....Chad let me drove almost all day today, i think i scared him a little bit on some turns and at some stops but other than that i think i did alright as we both got home alive hoorah lol!!!:) Maybe we can go to the beach next saturday as its getting hotter and hotter every single day.. that would be nice hey?? We were going to the Movie world with the Chad's Relies today - from Adelaide South Australia (who are up here for Brad's wedding (chad's cuz) but we thought well pass and just hang out together and have a low key day.. which is nice because most Saturdays Chad's got a cricket match and we rarely hang out!! he's got 2 Saturdays off yeppee.. so i have to take the opportunity to hang out with him while i can (chad and Irene time=).. anyway that's all from me for now.. until next time..

Sorry i have been really slack..

Sorry.. its been awhile.. its just that it has been really busy around here.. i mean by saying around here, i really meant busy at work (quite stressfull) mostly work really and doing some other things..Well we had a great trip to NZ, ill post some pic later. i got to do lots of fun things, some are pretty adventurous, i bungied.. yeah i know some of you might say im crazy but you know what?? its really fun jumping..NZ is beautiful its very scenic..anyway i cant believe its almost November time's flying so fast, but on the other hand i cant wait for the new years to come:) because i'll be going to the Philippines in January 17 mainly to visit and catch up with my family and friends, plus i will be having my birthday over there and Chad and I will also be celebrating our 5th yr anniversary so its pretty exciting!!! and oh Chad and I bought ourselves a saltwater fish tank, and at the moment we have 6 little fishy and 2 anemone in it.. 2 clown fishes (aka - Itchy and scratchy), 1 fake mandarin goby (aka Mandy), 1 dragonette goby (aka fruitty - she's pretty colourful) , 1 Blenny (aka Pacman - he eats food like a pacman), and 1 blue cleaner wrass (Louie Bluey).. they're pretty cute, we gave them names according to their characters...hmm i guess that is all really..anyway ill update more later when i finally get myself organized..so for bye for now.. signing out!!

Tatlong Tulog na Lang!!!

My title means 3 more sleep to go!! (if you dont speak tagalog:).. i cant wait for our little trip/holiday to New Zealand, Tayce has been so kind and lent me her snowboard and snowblades, it will be my first time to snowboard but i will give it a try im actually quite excited about it!! :) and i heard that snowblades are pretty fun too.. anyway i hope that i wont get too many bruises on my bottom or anywhere else :) i will try my best not to land on it everytime.. i guess you'll just have to wait until my next update regarding this matter hey??! anyway wish me luck people:)...

I thought im all better... i guess i thought wrong!

Oh well! i went back to work today after a week of spending my time in bed, at home watching videos and reading books, finish the Harry Potter - And the deadly Hallows(sad to say i do love it:), i even read the one before that, it was a boring and painful week!! anyway i thought im all better, well i feel a lot better yesterday and last night, but this morning when i got up to get ready for work i suddenly am not feeling very well, i didnt tell Chad because i wanted to get out and be over this Flu, so got ready and off to work.. Well guess what happened?? after an hour of working, wait! not even an hour i started to feel drowsy and weak, my joints starting to ache again plus a migraine and started coughing my guts up!! i felt car sick, name it all!! in other words i was feeling horrible! so i logged off my computer and told my superior that i have to go home, well they didnt send me home straight away, i have to lie down on a sick bed for an hour until im good enough to go home, so im yet again a bed potato, i just really want to be over this thing, its not funny anymore, im doing everything i can to get better, taking my pills and everything else that doctor prescribed and have been drinking lots of water,staying positive, fasted and prayed about it but it seems that none of these are working at the moment, i dont know what to do anymore.. i guess ill just have to rest and wait till i get better dont i??!! hmm this is so boring!! any suggestion to cheer myself up??? im really running out of ideas... sorry all to bore you again with this thingy..

Influenza

Not much about us, Chad has just finally got over his illness and is back to work, but unfortunately he passed it on to me, i think im almost over it too but last night i feel like im getting worst my bones hurts and i feel weak and light headed at the moment so i might go back to bed and lie down, i hate being stuck at home but i dont really wanna go out either and give my flu to someone else dont i? i hope those antibiotics and some pills that i've been taking will work their powers thru my systems soon!! i cant wait to be well again! i hate being sick but unfortunately my immune system is pretty weak so i can catch sickness in a blink of an eye, yeah just like that u bet!!! oh well give you more interesting update later!! ibetter go back to bed now.

Temple is the place to be

As most of you may know, i volunteered to work at the temple every Friday and i cant really express my joy in words everytime im in the temple, whether as a patron or as an ordinance worker, anyway today, i was assigned in the baptistry for a couple of hours (they rarely put me into baptistry because im short and most of the times i ended up asking someone to do things for me because i cant reach something i need or stuff like that:), so they re-arranged the set up of closet where they put stuff so that it would suit short people like me, we wont have trouble reaching/getting things and stuff:), anyway it was lovely, then off i go to the Celestial Room, then to do live endownment, the spirit was so strong, i was holding back my tears as im giving/saying the words to a sister as she began to cry herself too, and what so special about it is that, i've never seen or met this sister before when we finished the ordinance, she gave me and everyone the longest hug ever, which is so sweet, you can just see that she's very happy and grateful for everything that very moment, she didnt say anything, she just gave everyone a big hug with tears (Tears of Joy:), and im so grateful that i can be a part and witness this very special day for her, i love working with the patrons and everyone:) The place i'd rather be, if only i can stay there forever:) Anyway i thought i would share this to everyone and hope to inspire everyone in a way to go to the temple whenever time permits especially if you live near one!! I love the To see and be in the temple:) I've been blessed all my life to have a temple nearby, when i was in the Philippines i only lived about 30 minutes away from the temple and now, im only 10 minutes away from The Brisbane Australia temple and what more is that the Chapel i go to is right next to the temple (the same compound) like 5 steps away, it such a wonderful blessings to be that close. Anyway i hope you enjoy going to the temple as i do, it is the Best place to be!

C'MON!! their favourite WORD!

Im a huge fan of Tennis, i can stay up all night watching it i didnt go to bed till like 4am, last night was good matches though:) GO JUSTINE HENIN good on ya for beating Serena i cant believed that she won it eventhough her serving was bad, well i'd say bad because she had 7 DOUBLE FAULTS!! 7 double faults!! thats a lot but then she still manage to win:) strong back hand, great returns and wasnt she good at volley 2 thumbs up!!, im not saying that Serena didnt play good because she played awesome shots, good serving and everything, Justine is just too good for her.. im really happy that 2 of my favourite girls is still in the comp Justine and Ivanovic from SRB, she's so pretty:) Anyway think my man Federer againts Ferrer is gonna a good match to watch too.. I love Federer HE'S AWESOME!! HE'S UNBELIEVABLY GOOD:) I would so Love to meet him in Person, so im planning to go the AUSTRALIAN OPEN next year:) Anyway, watching Wimbledon or i mean not just wimbledon but any tournaments, you all notice that C'MON IS LIKE THE PLAYER'S FAVOURITE WORD?? everytime they win a point, what do they yell?? C'MON!!!Especially Lleyton Hewitt, i think he's the number one offender of this.. anyway its good it gives the match a little bit of a stir when he yells it, cant wait for tonight's matches but i dont i will be able to stay up all night tonight as i have to work at the temple early tomorrow so i guess i'll just to record it:) anyway till then!! my friend, Au revoir for now

My Saga of finding a new pair of specs

To tell you the truth, i dont enjoy shopping for glasses as much as i do on clothes, shoes and accessories:( first reason there's too many to choose from, second: they're quite expensive and third its really hard for me to find a pair because my nose is too little i guess!! anyway Chad and I agreed on this one (I wish i can just wear contact lenses on without taking them off at the end of the day, i like them better than wearing glasses, however they can be irra

itable after awhile i guess the only way of getting rid of my glasses is when i can afford to pay for an eye surgery (laser treatment), for now this will have to do.


However, im having a bit of trouble from them this last couple of days, they dont feel as comfy as when i first tried them on, so today we went back to the shop and told them that my glasses are really loose, so they have to adjust and fix it for me, and while waiting for them to get it done, i was trying on some of their glasses on display, and i found another pair that really sits and feels comfy on my face, i thought they look a bit funny on me and im not sure about the colour as well, but Chad likes it better than this one, now so im starting to have second thoughts, good thing they have a 30 day money back guarantee or exchange policy, so the lady at the shop told me that they will be happy to give me a refund if im unhappy with them, or i can find another pair and they can replace it for me, so i have 22 days to change my mind. I actually gotten a bit attach with this one already but i dont know im a bit confuse at the moment. Anyhow, sorry to bore everyone about my sentiments, it is probably a nonsense to some, but i guess i just like venting out my frustration by blogging it off.

THE PARABLE OF PASTA

Sorry everyone, my internet connection has just been reconnected lately, we upgraded it to a faster one but we didnt know that its gonna take almost a month to reconnect it..so how's everyone?? anyway.. i wanted to tell you all about the "PARABLE OF PASTA" <:)One evening about 45 pass 5pm, chad decided that he's going to make spaghetti for dinner(which put a big smile on my face because i didnt need to prepare dinner for a change)so i said: i dont mind i will have a little bit of it. (im not very fond of spaghetti), at that same day we went out to do our grocery shopping and he ask me if we still have spaghetti at home and i said yes im 100% sure we do, well we got home and he started making the sauce and boiled water for the pasta and he started looking in the cupboard for a the "spaghetti" and when he cant find it he ask me to "please look for it" .. well to my surprise i couldnt find it either (ooopppss my bad) so i told him why dont you just use the other ones??? we have the spiral, fetuccine etc.. so he said okay i will use the thin fetuccine (problem solve right??) and finally he yelled out dinner is ready!!! So Cody and I went to get our dinner and then Cody said: "what the bloody hell is this?? and then we said: "Spaghetti" or well spaghetti-fetuccine and by the way Chad did a great job in cooking it! IT TASTED AWESOME!! but Cody doesnt agree, he doesnt want it because its not spaghetti, Fetuccine is not a pasta he said. HUH???!!!! (that's our reaction Chad and I), anywho we then tried to convince him that it Doese taste the same, but he disagreed and doesnt want to eat dinner because Fetuccine is NOT a pasta!! WHAT??? hello!!!r u kidding me?? is this for real?? Fetuccine, Spaghetti?? as far as i know they both belong to the Pasta Family!! AaaaaHHHHH gusto ko nang iuntok yong ulo ko eh!! grabe na ito!! nakakabaliw talaga hahaha!!!! Will anyone please tell Cody that they are both Fetuccine is also a pasta!!! Anyway Dinner was great that night, i enjoyed it and im proud of Chad:) Till my next parable hehehe:) Cheerio!!

THE HARD WORKER

Cody told us that he's going to stay up to watch the world cup with us (cricket), however he passed out even before the game started, we tried to wake him up a few times but he couldnt even open his eyes, i took this picture so the bright flash of the camera will be on his face, didnt do anything.. i was even tempted to draw something on his face to make this picture look funny, but i felt bad, he looks so peaceful and calm.. we think its funny because he always says that he will stay up for a certain show but as soon as his back touch the couch he's a goner, this kid works hard, he gets up early in the morning to go to work, he starts at 7am and finishes at 2.30pm, he gets home and sit on the computer and play his virtual game and then listens to his music and then watch tv instead of having a nap.. so this is the story behind Cody passing out!!

After the Video conference

Hi Everyone, i just signed up and set up our new blogspot, hope that you can all visit our site, this is probably how are we going to keep in touch to most of you's families and friends wherever you are.. these pic was taken after we got home from church, we're just messing around after the video conference, we were just talking about how great the talks we heard and just pondering about them..I love President Hinckley's humor:) We are so grateful to be a part of this Gospel.. and grafetul for the knowledge that we have a loving Heavenly Father who sent His Son to sacrificed His life to pave the way for us so that one day we can all be back to HIS presence..I love my Saviour and I endeavour to follow His example everyday. Anyway, ill post more later. I better go get ready, Chad is waiting for me, i dont want him to be cranky with me, we are going to pick our new TV cabinet in Daisy Hill. Hope to hear from all of you!!
